Adopting a Friend
Please call us to schedule a visit to our shelter. We are very flexible and can meet you after hours and on weekends.

We do not declaw any of our cats, although we do have a number of cats that were already declawed when they were brought to us. We ask that you talk to your vet and consider all options before declawing, as this can be very painful (the toes are amputated) and limits the cat from being able to protect itself. There are many good articles on the Internet about declawing, and it is illegal in many countries, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Israel, Yugoslavia, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. It is also opposed by The Humane Society of the United States, and the ASPCA. We also ask that your new pet be part of your family and live indoors only.
